I am so excited you have stopped by this page to check things out. Let me tell you a bit about our #specialkindofcrazy crew. Our mission here at PowerFull Fitness is to give women the power to live life to the FULLest with health and fitness strategies that are realistic and practical.
While you’re here, let me tell you a bit more about why I decided to create the #specialkindofcrazy PowerFull Fitness. It came from my own struggles as a wife and mom – trying to figure out how to live a balanced healthy life and I could see the same struggles in so many of my friends. It seemed we struggled with three things: time, resources, and support.
One of the first problems: time. We couldn’t find time to work out. Some of us need classes EARLY in the morning (like super early) or we need classes late at night after bedtime OR we need classes where our kids can be by us. For some moms, the idea of putting our kids in the gym child care wasn’t working – they were crying or unhappy when we left. We needed to be able to bring them to class and let them play while we worked out. Other ladies, (not just moms!) needed a class that was quick, effective, and at a time that didn’t interrupt evening or afternoon plans. So that is why you will see a calendar with ‘FAMILY FRIENDLY’ classes. Classes that are at times that work for you no matter what your current schedule or life stage may be.
PowerFull Fitness started as a business for Mommy and Me and that is why you see so many MOMMY AND ME classes. These are classes where you can work out with your kiddo right next to you. Is it perfect? No. But is it win/win? Yes! You workout, kiddos play, everyone leaves tired and happy! So many people talk about the awesomeness of this. Think about it! Your kiddo gets in a workout and gets to see you striving for a healthy life. They get to play, have fun, practice social skills, and you get to see them the entire time. Are they in a stroller? If you want them to be – sure. But if you want them to get out, stretch their own legs and explore – awesome! Let those little ones run free and see what they discover too. But after a few months of Mommy and Me we found women of all life stages needed a community, a support, and a schedule that worked for them. That is why you see classes all.day.long.
Second problem: resources. Many of us are determined to find out how to lead a healthy life. However, we don’t necessarily have the time (there’s that time again!), energy, or resources to do the research we need to do to achieve our goals. That is why I am determined to give every member of PowerFull Fitness classes an abundance of resources. Everyone who signs up gets meal plans, at home workouts for between class sessions, mini fitness and nutrition challenges DAILY in our group. If you want help – you get it!. You’ll get recipes that are family and time friendly. You get workouts that are time sensitive. You get WHATEVER you need to make this work for you.
Third problem: support. This to me is the BIGGEST part of all. What you get when you come to a class is a group of instant friends. Why? Because we are all in the same boat. We are all trying to do the best we can for our families and ourselves. I have made soo many awesome new friends from hosting these classes. I feel like I can tell them anything (and sometimes I do!) just because I know they will support me and encourage me. Do I always wear makeup when I teach? Nope. Do I sometimes forget to change from pj pants to work out pants – yep. Do my ladies care? Nope! Because we are in this together for the long haul and THAT is the support we all need in this journey.
